God with Us

Isaiah 7:14 NKJV

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Emmanuel.

Matthew 1:21-23 NKJV

And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel,”

which is translated, “God with us.”

Introduction:

The incarnation of Christ is a fact of history and a miracle of eternity.  The Scripture says that Christ is the radiance of God’s glory and the express image of His person, upholding all things by the power of His Word…(Heb. 1:3)  Moreover, it pleased God to have His fullness dwell in Christ and for the Godhead to take on bodily form. (Col. 1;19; 2:9)  Hebrews 10:5 says it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.  Therefore when He came into the world, He says, sacrifice and offering You would not have, but a body You have prepared for Me.  When the Word became flesh—Jn. 1:14 God Himself could now experience the human condition in every way, shape, and form to understand our estate completely.  It was in His being and bodily form that He was tempted in every way, yet without sin.  He became sin, though He knew no sin, so that through the veil of His flesh, He could open a new and living way into the Holy of Holies to experience the Shekinah Presence of God.  We now can walk with God in the cool of the day again in intimate and profound fellowship because of the body of the Passover Lamb.

Through Emmanuel’s body, He purged our sins and gave us an escape route from the corruption in the world. (Heb. 1:3; 2 Pet. 1:4)  The Son of God became the Son of man.  A child was born but a Son was given.  He came not only to be fully man but to have man fully experience His divine nature.  Ephesians 1:20-23 says God purposed in the body of Christ, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way.  Likewise, we are instructed to unpack and unfold all that His love has afforded:  that you have power, together with all the saints to grasp how WIDE and LONG and HIGH and DEEP is the LOVE OF CHRIST—that you may be filled to the measure of the fullness of God (Eph. 3:17-18 NIV).

When God became man He had to have His divine seed conceived in a virgin in order to change the corrupted DNA to the incorruptible God-Genome.  Here is where being crucified with Christ opens the new and living way for  the resurrected life ahead.  This is why Jesus emphasized His death over His resurrection at communion.  The Holy Spirit conceived the Seed of the Father in the virgin womb to transfer the iniquities of the fathers and the legal right of the father of lies over to all the spiritual blessings in heavenly places from God the Father through the Son’s sacrifice (Eph. 1:3).  Colossians 1:13, For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves.

Jesus’ flesh made it possible for God to fully envelope us and for us to fully explore the possibilities granted to those adopted and given His spiritual DNA.  God’s intention is that there be no vacuum unfilled, no ground unclaimed, no room left vacant, no right denied, no life unfulfilled.  “Christ in us” finds our destiny and “us in Christ” is where our destiny finds us.  All of God’s promise are “Yes and Amen” in Christ (2 Cor. 1:20).  Hebrews 7:25, He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God by Him (Christ), seeing He ever-lives to make intercession for them.  Note it says, “He is able”.  We would do well to interpret this as “He is able to those who enable Him”.  And again, to save to the uttermost; “His uttermost is where my utmost meets His highest.”  As the Lord of all His quest is to leave nothing untouched, no residue of corruption, nothing of the old life hanging on life-support.

The statement, “There was no room in the inn for Him” is even more true here.  How many adopted children this Christmas are living with no room still in some parts of their hearts because of self-erected walls? He is waiting for the invitation to come into the heart that has barriers built around it.  He awaits permission to demolish the barriers of separation and walls of hostility and build bridges into who we can be and what we can do through Christ who strengthens us..

Today we will use Saint Patrick’s prayer, also known as, An Irish Prayer as a structure to explore the height, depth, breath, and width of all that Emmanuel is and what He has planned for us to fill.

An Irish Prayer

As I arise today,
may the strength of God pilot me,
the power of God uphold me,
the wisdom of God guide me.
May the eye of God look before me,
the ear of God hear me,
the word of God speak for me.
May the hand of God protect me,
the way of God lie before me,
the shield of God defend me,
the host of God save me.
May Christ shield me today.
Christ with me, Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit,
Christ when I stand,
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.
Amen

As we journey together using 8 directional destinations let us allow our utmost to reach His highest so He can save us to the uttermost.  It is here where no flesh can boast of the fruit of His supernatural Seed.  Here is where He is allowed to go to fill everything in every way for us to be filled to the measure of the fullness of God in Christ to celebrate Emmanuel—God with Us.

  1. CHRIST BEFORE US, CHRIST BEHIND US

CHRIST BEFORE US

Colossians 1:17 NASB

He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

General Direction: That we can trust in God’s faithfulness and promise that, in Christ, He has gone before us to make a new and living way when there was no way and he is working all things together for the good because He has foreknowledge of my future and has predestined me to be conformed to Christ.

Scriptures:

  • And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those (A)who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom (B)He foreknew, (C)He also predestined (D)to be conformed to the image of His Son, (E)that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also (F)called; whom He called, these He also (G)justified; and whom He justified, these He also (H)glorified. –Rom. 8:28-30 NKJV
  • 13 The [a]Breaker [the Messiah] will go up before them. They will break through, pass in through the gate and go out through it, and their King will pass on before them, the Lord at their head. –Mic. 2:13 AMP.
  • 16 Thus says the Lord, who (A)makes a way in the sea And a (B)path through the mighty waters, –Is. 43:16 NKJV
  • 6 Then the (A)lame shall leap like a deer, And the (B)tongue of the dumb sing. For (C)waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert. 7 The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water; In (D)the habitation of jackals, where each lay,
There shall be grass with reeds and rushes. –Is. 35:6-7 NKJV
  • 16 Thus says the Lord:“Stand in the ways and see,And ask for the (A)old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find (B)rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ –Jer. 6:16 NKJV
  • 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. –Jer. 29:11 NKJV

Prayer Points:

  • That we can trust in the Lord, not our own understanding, that Jesus is a way maker and icebreaker who goes before us and opens a new way where there is no way.
  • That we can have blessed assurance that Christ has given us a hope and future and prepared the path of life before us to arrive at an expected end.
  • That our great expectation is that all things are working together for my good because of God’s foreknowledge of my predestination and glorification conformed in Christ and Christ in me.

CHRIST BEHIND US

Isaiah 30:21 NKJV

Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying,
“This is the way, walk in it,”
Whenever you turn to the right hand
Or whenever you turn to the left.

General Direction: That we know we are safe and secure in Christ because He has redeemed our past, secured our future, and is our very-present help today as goodness and mercy follow us all the days of our lives.  God has our back and will not permit our enemies to out flank us; that He leads by vision but instructs from behind.

Scriptures:

  • 8 (A)Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; (B)The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. 9 Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ –Is. 58:8-9a NKJV
  • 13 And Moses said to the people, (A)“Do not be afraid. (B)Stand still, and see the (C)salvation[a] of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall (D)see again no more forever. 14 (E)The Lord will fight for you, and you shall (F)hold[b] your peace.”  19 And the Angel of God, (A)who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them.  26 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come back upon the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen.” 27 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and when the morning appeared, the sea (A)returned to its full depth, while the Egyptians were fleeing into it. So the Lord(B)overthrew[a] the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. 28 Then (C)the waters returned and covered the chariots, the horsemen, and all the army of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them. Not so much as one of them remained. –Ex. 14:13-14, 19, 26-28 NKJV
  • 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will [a]dwell in the house of the Lord [b]Forever. –Ps. 23:6 NKJV
  • 15 Behold, (A)I am with you and will (B)keep[a] you wherever you go, and will (C)bring you back to this land; for (D)I will not leave you (E)until I have done what I have spoken to you.” –Gen. 28:15 NKJV
  • 14 And He said, (A)“My Presence will go with you, and I will give you (B)rest.” –Ex. 33:14 NKJV

Prayer Points:

  • That we can be at peace knowing God is our rear guard and Like Pharaoh’s army, He will not let the enemy out flank us from behind.
  • That we can rejoice in the hope knowing goodness and mercy is always following close behind us.
  • That we must always be alert and attentive and watch and pray for God will give us vision to move us forward but will instruct us how to go from behind.
  • That we should never fear the past knowing God has redeemed our yesterday’s, promised our tomorrows, and is the ever-present help for today.

  1. CHRIST ABOVE US, CHRIST BENEATH US

CHRIST ABOVE US

Ephesians 1:30-23 NIV

(God) raised the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule

and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.

And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body,

the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

General Direction: To understand that Christ is above us in heaven at the right hand of God, therefore, He has an eternal look and perspective of where we’ve been, where we are , and where we are destined and is an Advocate and Intercessor on our behalf.

Scriptures:

  • 9 (A)Therefore God also (B)has highly exalted Him and (C)given Him the name which is above every name, 10 (D)that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and (E)that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. –Phil. 2:9-11 NKJV
  • 7 Therefore I will look to the Lord;I will (A)wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me. 8 (B)Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; (C)When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to me. –Mic. 7:7-8 NKJV
  • 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together (A)in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, –Eph. 2:6 NKJV
  • 18 And (A)He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, (B)the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. –Col. 1:18 NKJV
  • 24 “Therefore(B)whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
  • 26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” –Matt. 7:24-27 NKJV

Prayer Points:

  • To realize that because Christ is above us as our Advocate in heaven so Satan is under our feet.
  • To arise and shine for Christ has been raised up and seated with God in the highest place where He ever-lives to make intercession for us in order to save us to the uttermost.
  • To comprehend that Christ is the only Mediator between God and man and through Him we will have all things reconciled and experience the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way.

CHRIST BENEATH US

2 Corinthians 3:11 NKJV

For no other foundation can any one lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

General Direction: That on Christ the solid rock we stand and because we listen to His words and do them we establish a firm foundation beneath us that winds, rains, and floods cannot remove; that God has given us hinds feet to high places and established our goings so we will not stumble and fall and we can stand on who He is and what He said.

Scriptures:

  • 24 (A)Now to Him who is able to keep [a]you from stumbling, And (B)to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, –Jude 24 NKJV
  • 15 He said to them, “But who do(A)you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered and said, (B)“You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah,(C)for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but (D)My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that (E)you are Peter, and (F)on this rock I will build My church, and (G)the gates of Hades shall not [a]prevail against it. 19 (H)And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth [b]will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” –Mt. 16:15-19 NKJV
  • 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 (A)Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the [a]wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against (B)principalities, against powers, against (C)the rulers of [b]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. –Eph. 6:10-12 NKJV
  • 19 [a]The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like (A)deer’s feet, And He will make me (B)walk on my high hills. –Hab. 3:19 NKJV

Prayer Points:

  • That because of receiving the revelation that Christ is the Son of the living God and applying it to our lives the gates of hell cannot prevail against our advances and whatever things we bind on earth and bound in heaven  and whatever we loose on earth is loosed in heaven because we have the keys of the kingdom—that every place we walk we possess— Jsh. 1:3.
  • That because we hear Christ’s word and practice them we have “firm foundations that cannot be shaken” nor come winds, rains, or floods cause our house to fall. – Heb. 12:25-30
  • That we can rejoice knowing God will uphold us with His strong hand and He will keep us from falling.
  • That He has given us hinds feet to walk in high places and to stand strong in the Lord and the power of His might.

  1. CHRIST BETWEEN US, CHRIST BESIDE US

CHRIST BETWEEN US

Ephesians 2:14 NIV

For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed THE BARRIER, THE DIVIDING WALL OF HOSTILITY…

his purpose was create in himself one new man out of two, thus making peace.

General Direction: For us to comprehend that Christ has removed the walls that separate us and we can now love on another as He has loved us in the bond of perfection and have true” koinonea” (fellowship of the saints); that Christ is our Advocate, Mediator, and Intercessor in heaven.

Scriptures:

  • Therefore He is also (A)able to save [a]to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives (B)to make intercession for them. –Heb. 7:25 NKJV
  • 24 to Jesus (A)the Mediator of the new covenant, and to (B)the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things (C)than that of Abel. –Heb. 12:24 NKJV
  • 31 What then shall we say to these things? (A)If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 (B)He who did not spare His own Son, but (C)delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? (D)It is God who justifies. 34 (E)Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, (F)who is even at the right hand of God, (G)who also makes intercession for us. –Rom. 8:31-34 NKJV
  • My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, (A)we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. –1 Jn. 2:1 NKJV
  • 5 (A)For there is one God and (B)one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, –1 Tim. 2:5 NKJV
  • 14 (A)But above all these things (B)put on love, which is the (C)bond of perfection. 15 And let (D)the peace of God rule in your hearts, (E)to which also you were called (F)in one body; and (G)be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another (H)in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. –Col. 3:14-16 NKJV

Prayer Points:

  • For us to understand that because Christ has removed the dividing barriers of walls of hostility we can have peace between Jew and Gentile and that we can have true fellowship with each other as one.
  • To live knowing Christ is our Advocate in heaven, our legal defense, to shut down the accuser of the brethren.
  • For us to pray to the throne of grace knowing our Mediator is interceding for us and able to save us to the uttermost.

CHRIST BESIDE US

John 14:16 Phillips Translation

I shall ask the Father to give you someone else to stand by you, to be with you always.

…for he is with you now and is in your hearts…when that one I have spoken to you about comes—the Spirit of Truth—he will guide you into everything that is true.

General DirectionThat we can always be secure and assured in who we are and where we are going because Christ walks with us and always leads us as children, not driving us as slaves; that the Spirit of Truth will guide us into all truth and will always stand with us in every situation and circumstance, any time, any place, in every way.

Scriptures:

  • 5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, (A)“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 8 Jesus Christ is (A)the same yesterday, today, and forever.–Heb. 13:5, 8 NKJV
  • and lo, I am(B)with you always, even to the end of the age.” [a]Amen. –Mt. 28:20b NKJV
  • 28 Come to(A)Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you (B)and learn from Me, for I am[a]gentle and (C)lowly in heart, (D)and you will find rest for your souls.30 (E)For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” –Mt. 11:28-30 NKJV
  • 15 So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that (A)Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. 32 And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” –Lk. 24:15, 32 NKJV
  • 8 (A)I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. –Ps. 16:8 NKJV

Prayer Points:

  • That Jesus said He would never leave us as orphans nor forsake us as alone but that He would send His Holy Spirit to abide with us, live inside of us, and guide us into all truth.
  • That, as Jesus walked with His disciples on the road to Emmaus, He will walk with us and gives us revelation of who He is in His word so we can rightly divide the word of truth to greater freedom.
  • That we can take Christ’s yoke upon us and learn to walk with Him and work with Him and allow Him to show us the path of life.

  1. CHRIST AMONG US, CHRIST AROUND US

CHRIST AMONG US

Matthew 18:20 Goodspeed NT Translation

For where two or three are gathered as my followers, I AM THERE AMONG THEM.

General Direction: That we would re-member Christ each time we gather in His name and love one another the way He has loved us and allow all the Spirit-giftings to form a complete picture of who Jesus is; that our growing and maturity into oneness by perfected love in learned obedience would reflect the oneness of the Father and Son to a watching and waiting world.

Scriptures:

  • 19 (B)Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were [a]assembled, for (C)fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, (D)“Peace be with you.”20 When He had said this, He (E)showed them His hands and His side. (F)Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. 21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! (G)As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. –Jn. 20:19-20 NKJV
  • and lo, I am(B)with you always, even to the end of the age.” [a]Amen. –Mt. 28:20b NKJV
  • 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, [a]“Take, eat; this is My body which is[b]broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death (A)till He comes.  33 Therefore, my brethren, when you (A)come together to eat, wait for one another. –1 Cor. 11:24-26, 33 NKJV
  • 4 (A)And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,”He said, “you have (B)heard from Me; –Ac. 1:4 NKJV
  • 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, (A)and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. –Ac. 4:13 NKJV

Prayer Points:

  • That we would recognize and reverence the reality that Christ promised He who be manifest among us as we gather in His name.
  • That the fullness of Christ would be observed and experienced when His body love one another as He has loved us and when all of the gifts of the Spirit operate in harmony and unity.
  • That the oneness of His Person be re-membered as the body would reflect the perfect oneness of the Father and Son as a witness to the world.

CHRIST AROUND US

Psalm 34:7; 125:2 NKJV

The angel of the LORD ENCAMPS AROUND THOSE WHO FEAR HIM, and delivers them.  As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD SURROUNDS HIS PEOPLE from this time forth and forever.

General Direction: That Christ surrounds us with His presence and the encampment of angels to guard and guide us; that through compromise or disobedience the wall can be breached but through our faithfulness, obedience to God’s voice, and unrelenting pursuit of doing His will and completing God’s work the enemies’ access is denied.

Scriptures:

  • 3 But You, O Lord, are (B)a shield [a]for me, My glory and (C)the One who lifts up my head. –Ps. 3:3 NKJV
  • But (B)he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him. –Ps. 32:10b NKJV
  • 9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 (A)Have You not [a]made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? (B)You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. –Job 1:9-10 NKJV
  • 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 37 (A)Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor (B)principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. –Rom. 8:35, 37-39 NKJV
  • “When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see (A)horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be (B)afraid of them; for the Lordyour God is (C)with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt. –Deut. 20:1 NKJV
  • 2 (C)When you pass through the waters, (D)I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you (E)walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. –Is. 43:2 NKJV
  • 8 (A)He who digs a pit will fall into it, And whoever breaks through a wall will be bitten by a serpent. –Eccl. 10:8 NKJV

Prayer Points:

  • That we would recognize that God promised He would surround us with His presence as the mountains are around Jerusalem.
  • That God encircles us with angelic protection and provision and we need never fear what our enemies could do when God is our shield, refuge, and fortress.
  • That God’s hedge of protection is very real and built for a reason and it remains fixed when we submit to His authority, obey His words, and walk in the Spirit.
  • That when we refuse to compromise, form allegiances with our flesh or the enemy, and when we do the will of God we do not break the hedge around us and our families but our obedience means access denied and the evil one cannot touch us.

  1. CHRIST IN ME, ME IN CHRIST

CHRIST IN ME

Revelation 3:20 TCNT

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears my voice and opens the door,

I WILL GO IN AND FEAST WITH HIM, AND HE SHALL FEAST WITH ME.

General Direction:  That having Christ in me means I have the hope of glory dwelling inside and because the Greater One lives in side of me and can overcome the enemies and adversaries that oppose me; having Christ in me means I can find my life when I lose my life in Christ; Christ in me means I have an Advocate/Intercessor in heaven and I am a partaker of the divine nature of earth.

Scriptures:

  • 31 What then shall we say to these things? (A)If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 (B)He who did not spare His own Son, but (C)delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? (D)It is God who justifies. 34 (E)Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, (F)who is even at the right hand of God, (G)who also makes intercession for us. –Rom. 8:31-34 NKJV
  • 12 For (A)now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then (B)face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. –1 Cor. 13:12 NKJV
  • If then you were (A)raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, (B)where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the (C)earth. 3 (D)For you died, (E)and your life is hidden with Christ in God. –Col. 3:1-3 NKJV
  • 27 (A)To them God willed to make known what are (B)the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: [a]which is (C)Christ in you, (D)the hope of glory. –Col. 1:27 NKJV
  • 19 (A)My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you, –Gal. 4:19 NKJV
  • 4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than (A)he who is in the world. –1 Jn. 4:4 NKJV
  • 2 Beloved, (A)now we are children of God; and (B)it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, (C)we shall be like Him, for (D)we shall see Him as He is. 3 (E)And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. –1 Jn. 3:2-3 NKJV
  • 27 But the (A)anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and (B)you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing (C)teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you [a]will abide in Him. –1 Jn. 2:27 NKJV

Prayer Points:

  • That the only true metric of personal growth is the distance between who you have become and who Christ is becoming in you.
  • For me to see myself as I am seen in Christ; to know myself as I am known.
  • For me never to concede to my flesh or fall short of the glory of God by allowing Christ to be Lord only by compartmentalizing His reins of power instead of giving Him full reign and range over all things.

ME IN CHRIST

Acts 17:28 KJV

For IN HIM WE LIVE, AND MOVE, AND HAVE OUR BEING;

General Direction: “Me in Christ” means I have everything I need pertaining to life and godliness on earth and I am blessed with every spiritual blessing in heaven; “Me in Christ” means I can work out my salvation as Christ is working in me both to will and do of His good purpose; “Me in Christ” means His word abides in me and “Christ in me” means I abide in Him in life, movements, and being.

Scriptures:

  • 9 (A)God is faithful, by whom you were called into (B)the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. –1 Cor. 1:9 NKJV
  • 20 I have been (A)crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh (B)I live by faith in the Son of God, (C)who loved me and gave Himself for me. –Gal. 2:20 NKJV
  • 18 But we all, with unveiled face, (A)beholding as in a mirror the (B)glory of the Lord, are being (C)transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from (D)the Lord, the Spirit. –2 Cor. 3:18 NASB
  • 35 And the angel answered and said to her, (A)“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called (B)the Son of God. 38 Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.–Lk. 1:35, 38 NKJV
  • 7 For (A)none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. 8 For if we (B)live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. –Rom. 14:7-8 NKJV
  • 21 (A)nor will they say,[a]‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, (B)the kingdom of God is [b]within you.”—Lk. 17:21 NKJV

Prayer Points:

  • For God to help us not to measure ourselves with ourselves or compare ourselves with others but to measure our maturity by how much Christ is formed in us and weigh our worth on how we gave from what we received.
  • For me to set the model of Christ before me always so I can say with confidence, follow me as I follow Christ’s example.
  • For me to cease from pursing the shadow beliefs of lies about myself and begin to pursue the truth that sets me free and be free indeed and freely give as I have freely received.
  • For my fight of faith not to be just shadow boxing nor running my race aimlessly but fight the good fight of faith and running the race marked before me with purpose.
  • For “Christ in me” means I discover my destiny, “me in Christ” means my destiny discovers me.
