Online Prayer, THE WORD BECAME FLESH, Wednesday, December 6, 2017

John 1:14 NKJV

And the WORD became flesh and dwelt among us,

and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten

of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Introduction:

Of the many divine mysteries, the miracle of the incarnation of Christ remains one of the most mystifying and magnificent!  Emmanuel was fully God, fully man.  The God of the Universe spoke Himself into the womb of a virgin becoming flesh to fully experience the human condition yet without compromising His holiness relative to the sin nature.

Holy Spirit carried along the Apostle John to forward the creation narrative inaugurated in Genesis One.  The familiar words “In the beginning” announces the beginning of a new creation in Christ.  The Genesis account reads: And the earth was without form, and void.  And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.  The Hebrew word for “moved” is râchaph, which means to brood or hover; to vibrate or relax; to flutter above; to incubate.  The same language and imagery is used when the angel informed Mary, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:35)  Just as the Spirit brooded over the face of the waters He incubated the womb of the sea of humanity’s new creation.  The Word is Jesus the Son of God Himself becoming flesh and dwelling among us.

Not only did Jesus the Son of God come to save us and reverse the curse against us.  He came to show us the Glory of the Father and modeled how to live victoriously in grace and truth.  In fact Romans 8:18-24 references that all of creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God, meaning everything awaits for the Word to grow into the fullness of the measure of the stature of Christ in us.

We each must have the revelation of the Father, as did Peter, that Christ is the Son of the living God.  For on this salvation and the church are built.  However, this is but the beginning of the marvelous mystery of the Word becoming flesh.  God’s strategy was not only to make the Son of Man the Author and Finisher of our faith through Christ’s finished work, but also that the gates of hell could not prevail against our authority or advances.  God will reveal His power in earthen vessels of clay as we become “living letters”.  Then the whole world could read the Gospel Message written across our lives.  All of this being accomplished on the wings of grace and truth incubating the implanted Word in us.  The goal is for the Word to again become incarnate in us as Jesus said, as the Father sent Me into the world, I also send you.  We are the bridge between witnessing of the Word become flesh and becoming witnesses of the Word becoming flesh in us to a lost and searching world.

Today we will pray into five ways the WORD became flesh and mobilizes an army of believers who advance the Gospel of Christ as the move of the Spirit, via incarnate ministry of the Word, moves us to be Jesus with skin to our generation.

  1. The WORD became flesh WITH THE SON OF GOD.
  2. The WORD became flesh FOR THE GLORY OF GOD.
  3. The WORD became flesh BY THE GRACE OF GOD.
  4. The WORD became flesh TO THE TRUTH OF GOD.
  5. The WORD becomes flesh THROUGH THE LIVING LETTERS OF GOD.

  1. The WORD Became Flesh WITH THE SON OF GOD

Luke 24: 27, 44 NASB

Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets,

He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.

Now He said to them, “These are My words which I spoke to you

while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me

in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

General Direction:  For the church to comprehend that the Word became flesh when Jesus was conceived and born of a virgin and that through His life, teachings, ministry, death and resurrection the Law was fulfilled, the prophets and promises obtained, and we can become the sons of God who model His Message.

Word: “lŏgŏs”

The divine communication or expression of thought; God-talk;

the speech or language of God; the embodiment of the conception of God’s work and will in God the Son;

the inerrant, infallible, eternal, organic Word of God.

Scriptures:

  • 33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! –Rom. 11:33 NKJV
  • 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. –Jn. 1:14 NKJV
  • 14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. –Jn. 17:14-16 NKJV
  • 35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. 37 For with God nothing will be impossible.” –Lk. 1:35, 37 NKJV
  • 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. –Jn. 1:12-14 NKJV
  • 17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” –Mt. 16:17-19 NKJV
  • 18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
  • 19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” –Mt. 18:18-20 NKJV
  • 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. 26 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. 27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which[a] is Christ in you, the hope of glory. –Col. 1:15-20, 26-27 NKJV
  • 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. –Col. 2:14-15 NKJV
  • 12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” –Jn. 8:12 NKJV
  • 38 but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe[a] that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.” –Jn. 10:38 NKJV
  • 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? –Jn. 14:9 NKJV
  • 20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.Let Truth Abide in You 24 Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.26 These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will  abide in Him. –1 Jn. 2:20-27 NKJV
  • 11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.—1 Jn. 5:11-13 NKJV
  • 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. –1 Jn. 3:8 NKJV
  • 1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, –Heb. 1:1-3 NKJV
  • 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” –Mt. 3:17 NKJV
  • 29 And suddenly they cried out, saying, “What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?” –Mt. 8:29 NKJV
  • 58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” –Jn. 8:58 NKJV
  • 27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. 44 Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” 45 And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. –Lk. 24:27, 44-45

Prayer Points:

  • For the church to receive and fully understand the revelation of Christ as the Son of God.
  • For us to receive by faith the Word becoming flesh and the virgin birth born by the will of God, not men.
  • For us to understand the marvelous mystery of who Jesus is and join Holy Spirit on the journey to know Him deeper, higher, wider, and longer in intimacy of who He is and who we are in Him.
  • For us to realize that Jesus of Nazareth is the prophesied, promised Messiah of the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms and that He fulfilled the law of God and every prophetic promise of God.
  • For us to understand that the fullness of the Godhead bodily dwells in Christ.
  • For us to stand in obedience in the finished work that Christ defeated Satan and destroyed the works of the evil one.

  1. The WORD Became Flesh for the GLORY OF GOD

John 17:1, 4, 8, 22, 24 NKJV

Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You…

…I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.

  1. The WORD Became Flesh BY THE GRACE OF GOD

John 1:16 NKJV

And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.

General Direction: To possess a Biblical View of grace, understanding its purpose, promise, and promotion into  the greater works and higher plain to walk and live in; that grace does not condone carnal behavior or give permission to sin and compromise but enables and empowers the believer to have strength in weaknesses and holiness to the will of God.

Grace: “charis”

To stoop down; divine influence or favor; an acceptable or pleasurable disposition towards; proceeding from lovingkindness, good will, and unmerited favor; (The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Grace (See Hebrews 10:29) and manifests the pure, sensitive nature of a holy God in hatred towards evil and attraction to holiness, and all goodness, and truth.

Scriptures:

  • 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. –Eph. 2:8-10 NKJV
  • 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.—Eph. 1:6 NKJV
  • 11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly. –Ps. 84:11 NKJV
  • 7 ‘Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”’” –Zech. 4:7 NKJV
  • 5 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.  17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)  20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,  –Rom. 5:1-2, 15, 17, 20 NKJV
  • 6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? –Rom 6:1-2 NKJV
  • 6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:“God resists the proud,But gives grace to the humble.” 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. –Jam. 4: 6-10 NKJV
  • 5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for“God resists the proud,But gives grace to the humble.”6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.  8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. –1 Pet. 5:5-11 NKJV
  • 7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. –2 Cor. 12:7-10 NKJV
  • 14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen. –2 Cor. 13:14 NKJV
  • 14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. –Heb. 4:14-16 NKJV
  • 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? –Heb. 10:29 NKJV
  • 14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: 15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; –Heb. 12: 14-15 NKJV
  • 9 Do not be carried about[a] with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them. –Heb. 13:9 NKJV
  • 8 The Lordis gracious and full of compassion,Slow to anger and great in mercy. –Ps. 145:8 NKJV
  • 20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.” –Gal. 2:20-21 NKJV
  • 6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; 7 just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace. –Phil. 1:6-7 NKJV
  • 6 which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth; –Col. 1:6 NKJV
  • 6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. –Col. 4:6 NKJV
  • 14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. –1 Tim. 1:14-15 NKJV
  • 11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. –Titus 2:11-14 NKJV
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.  18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.   24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. –Gal. 5:13-14, 16, 18, 24-25 NKJV
  • 8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. –Rom. 8:1-2 NKJV

Prayer Points:

  • To possess a Biblical view of grace as the unmerited favor of God stooping down into our lowly, lost estate and lifting us out of the pit of destruction.
  • To understand that “grace” does not give us license or permission to sin, but ability and escape from sin.
  • To know that grace, not only lifts us to a higher plain, but empowers and enables us to live holy and fulfill the will of God.
  • To realize that God’s favor is never determined by our self-performance of religious activity but is measured by our faith in the finished work of Christ at the cross as we deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him.
  • To apprehend the concept that we are not saved by works but we do good works because we are save by the grace of God; not by might, or power, but by His Spirit.
  • To appropriate grace in our weaknesses, trials, tribulations, hardships, sufferings, and persecutions for the glory of God.

  1. The WORD Became Flesh IN THE TRUTH OF GOD

John 14:6; 15:13, 14 NKJV

I AM…the TRUTH…

…when He, the Spirit of truth, has come,

He will guide you into all truth: for He will not speak

on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak…

And He will tell you of things to come.  He will glorify Me,

For HE WILL TAKE OF WHAT IS MINE and declare it to you.

General Direction: To believe God for a revival of the Bible and the Word of truth; for us to know the Truth relationally, not just intellectually; to be led by the Spirit of truth and walk in the light as He is in the light to overcome the father of lies, age of deception, and be a light that shines in the darkness for men to see.

Truth: “alēthĕia”

The manifestation of the eternal existence of God the Son; an objective reality; the display of God’s character and nature

in the essence of that which is correct, right, and good against all perversions, corruptions, distortions, or deceptions;

the perfect expression of who God is and what He does emanating from Jesus as the Truth.

Scriptures:

  • 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. –Jn. 8:31-32, 36 NKJV

  • 7 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” –Jn. 18:37 NKJV
  • 2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us—  –2 Jn. 1:2 NKJV

  • 20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things.21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. –2 Pet. 1:20-21 NIV
  • 12 Demetrius has a good testimony from all, and from the truth itself. And we also bear witness, and you know that our testimony is true. 3 For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. –3 Jn. 12, 1:3 NKJV

  • 12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.–Rom. 12:1-2 NKJV

The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. 20 “The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” Says the Lord.  21 “As for Me,” says the Lord, “this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the Lord, “from this time and forevermore.” –Is. 59:14-15, 19-21 NKJV

  • To know in His light we see light; His Word is a lamp to our feet and light to our path.

  1. The WORD Becomes Flesh THROUGH THE LIVING LETTERS OF GOD

2 Corinthians 3:2-3 NASB

You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men;

being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us,

written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God,

not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

James 1:21 NKJV

Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word,

which is able to save your souls.

General Direction:  To be cognizant and responsible to live our lives as open books and living letters that present the Gospel Message in the clearest most cohesive way that those lost and seeking can find and see the living  Word in us; we may be the only Bible some will ever read and the only Jesus some may ever meet.

Epistles: “epistŏlē”

A written message in Spirit-letters; a written draft or statement to be sent and read by readers;

speech or language to be published as open books and widely distributed; the living letters that tell the Gospel Story;

words living, inspired by God or God-breathed into Holy Scriptures then implanted and incubated by Holy Spirit

to become living messages in open books known and read of all men.

Scriptures:

  • 15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. –1 Pet. 3:15-16 NIV
  • 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. –2 Tim. 2:15 NKJV
  • 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. –Heb. 4:12 NKJV
  • 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. –Mt. 5:14-16 NKJV
  • 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Mein Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” –Acts 1:8 NKJV
  • 60 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you,And His glory will be seen upon you. –Is. 60:1-2 NKJV
  • 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. –Acts 10:38 NKJV

  • 21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”–Jn. 20:21 NKJV
  • 2 And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. –1 Cor.2:1-5 NKJV
  • 9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. –1 Cor. 3:9-10 NKJV
  • 14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things? –2 Cor. 2:14-16 NKJV
  • 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. –2 Cor. 5:17-21 NKJV
  • 10 to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, –Eph. 3:10 NKJV
  • 6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it  with thanksgiving.8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. –Col. 2:6-10 NKJV
  • 5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. 6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. –Col. 4:5-6 NKJV

  • 25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, –Rom. 16:25 KJV
