R3 Online Prayer – Turning the Hearts of Fathers and Children, Wed. June 21, 2017

Malachi 4:5-6 NKJV

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet
Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.

And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,
And the hearts of the children to their fathers,
Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.

The father/family issue is the most critical issue facing this generation.  Of all the social decays facing the nation, the root cause and most consequential revolves around the lack of earthly fathers and the loss of the vision of God the Father.  But, what saith the Scripture?

When the foundations are being destroyed what can the righteous do?  Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

They know not, neither will they understand: they walk in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are out of course. –Ps. 11:3; 82:3-5

Revealing facts: U.S. Dept. of Health Statistics and Census

  • 63% of all youth suicides are from broken families.
  • 90% of all youth runaways/homeless are from single parent homes.
  • 85% of all children/youth with behavioral problems and social adjustment issues are from houses with dysfunctional or absentee fathers.
  • 70% of all high school drop outs are from fatherless homes.
  • 75% of all adolescents with alcohol or substance abuse are from single parent homes.
  • 85% of all youth/adults in prison /detention grew up without a father or from a dysfunctional relationship with their father.

Gallup Poll:         8 out of 10 Americans agree that the greatest cultural problem facing America is: The physical/spiritual absence of the father in the home.

Other harvests we are reaping from the ongoing corruption of foundations:  America averages 4,000 abortions daily—over 53 million since legalization; divorce continues at a 50% rate; courts have redefined biblical marriage between one man and one woman.  Society is now out of course in regards to sexual fluidity and transgendering of males and females.

In 2004 God clearly spoke to me the following:

“When the enemy seeks to destroy a life he preys on an innocent, defenseless child;

But when the adversary seeks to devour a generation he targets a distracted father.”

God said, My people are destroyed, not because of sin, Satan, or the world, but because of lack of knowledge.  Ignorance to the adversary’s devices gives him advantage.  The prophet Malachi points to the underlying cause of fathers and family and that God envisioned it in His foreknowledge.  Acting sovereignly within Himself, God will intervene by turning hearts back to Him and to one another.  His divine diagnosis concludes that, if He does not surgically remove this preexisting condition, it will go terminal.  The only response would be to strike the curse with a curse of annihilation.  Marriage and family form the blueprint of creation’s cause as well as holds the mysteries of heaven’s signature. Jesus did not come to redefine marriage and reform families.  He came to redeem and restore them.

Today we give effectual fervent prayer to:

  • The root cause of de-evolution of fatherhood.
  • The heart of the solution in the Fatherhood of God.
  • The release of the revelation of Spiritual Fathers.

Jesus said: Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven; whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything they shall ask, it shall be done  for them of My Father which is in heaven. –Mt. 18:18-19

Let us touch and agree along with binding and loosing the will and work of the Father through the mandate of Elijah the prophet today.

  1. Departing the FATHER OF LIES

John 8:44 NKJV

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do.

He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him.

When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

Ephesians 2:1-2 NKJV

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,

in which you once walked according to the course of this world,

according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience…

Main Point: To lay an ax to the root problem of father/family issues; to break the yoke and curse of the father of lies and the curse of dysfunctional fatherhood; to restore marriage and family to the original blueprint and call sinners to repentance and righteousness.

  • …He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate. –Matt. 19:4-6 NKJV
  • Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish. 29:18 Amp.
  • My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. – Hos. 4:6
  • Let us make man in Our image, according to Our Likeness…so God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it, have dominion…over every living thing that moves upon the earth.  –Gen. 1:26-28 NKJV
  • When the foundationsare being destroyed, what can the righteous do?” –Ps. 82:5 KJVer
  • There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. –Pr. 14:12
  • Woe to them that devise iniquity and work evil…because it is in the power of their hand. –Micah 2:1 KJV
  • For they have sown to the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: Sow for yourselves righteousness;Reap in mercy;Break up your fallow ground,For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you. You have plowed wickedness, you have reaped in iniquity; you have eaten the fruit of lies; because you did trust in your own way, in the multitude of you mighty men. –Hos. 8:7; 10:12-13
  • And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. –Eph. 2:1-2 NASB

Prayer Points:

  • For the people of God to return to and restore the blueprint of marriage and family.
  • For men and women to repent for fornication and adultery that gives birth to unplanned, unwanted, and unloved children.
  • For the gross transgression of massive shedding of blood in abortion.
  • For the people of God to continually behold whose image they were created in and realize that without prophetic knowledge and redemptive revelation of Him we will perish.
  • For God’s people to stop sowing seeds to the whirlwind and unrighteousness and begin to sow seeds in righteousness, holiness, and faithful stewardship in the Father’s original intention and design for creation.
  • For the Gospel to be preached with power and authority. God stretching our His hand to perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of Jesus…(Acts 4:30) that will turn children from the false fatherhood of the devil and existing as sons of disobedience—to know the Heavenly Father as their Father and become sons of obedience.
  • Discern the core reason of fatherlessness and abuse—underlying cause of the seed of the serpent sown into humanity of the preexisting condition of an orphaned mind and heart.
  • For God’s people to STOP sowing seeds of sin and reaping corruption and START sowing seeds of righteousness and reaping life.

  1. Turning TO GOD THE FATHER

Proverbs 9:10b NKJV

…the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding

Main Point:  To put on corrective lenses to have a redemptive revelation of the Father heart of God; to experience the fullness of God the Father; and grow into the knowledge of the Fatherhood of God.

  • But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. –2 Cor. 4:3-4 NKJV
  • How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. –Eph. 1:3-4 The Message
  • Jesus answered and said to him,“Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.” –Matt. 16:17 NKJV
  • In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.  –Heb. 1:-3 NIV
  • The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.  –Col. 1:15-17 NIV
  • What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:  “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God,and they will be my people.” Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate,” says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. –2 cor. 6:16-7:1 NIV
  • But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. –Jn. 1:12 KJV
  • I will not leave you as orphans;I will come to you. –Jn. 14:18 NIV
  • For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. –Gal. 3:25-28 NKJV
  • For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.  –Rom. 8:14-17a NKJV
  • And He said to them,“Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” –Lk. 2:49 NKJV
  • Then Jesus answered and said to them,“Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. –Jn. 5:19-20 NKJV
  • No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. –Jn. 6:44 NKJV
  • Then Jesus said to them,“When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.  And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.” –Jn. 8:28-29 NKJV
  • Jesus said to him,“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? –Jn. 14:6, 9 NKJV

Prayer Points:

  • For people to envision and experience God as Father via the Son of God and the Spirit of adoption.
  • To realize and experience the outpouring of the Father’s love via the Son and the Spirit. (Rom. 5:5)
  • To learn the prophetic knowledge of Father God and our relationship to Him as His children.
  • To activate and the act in doing the Father’s business by being led by the Spirit of Sonship.
  • To turn away from idolatry and darkness and turn to the Father perfecting holiness in the fear of the Lord.
  • To internalize what Jesus modeled and showed us about the Father so we too can do the Father’s will and complete His work.
  • To understand the supernatural insight of being born, not of the flesh or of the will of men, but being born of the Spirit thus having the power to become the sons of God.

Galatians 4:8 KJV

Wherefore thou art no more a servant,

but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

  • Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.  And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. –1 Jn. 3:1-3 KJV
  • Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. –1 Jn. 4:4 KJV
  • Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. –Gal. 5:1 NKJV

  • …and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves. –Col. 1:12-13 NIV
  • This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.  You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. –Jn. 15:12-16 NKJV
  • Keep me as the apple of Your eye. –Ps. 17:8 NKJV
  • I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people. –Eph. 1:17-18 NIV
  • My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you. –Gal. 4:19 NIV

  1. Turning Towards FULL ADOPTION and INHERITANCE

Ephesians 1:11, 13-14 NIV

In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will…

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

Main Point: For God’s children to learn to sit, walk, and stand in heavenly places; accessing all spiritual blessings along with the heritage and inheritance that is activated by doing the Father’s will and work via obedience, faithfulness, serving, worshiping and practicing good stewardship.

  • …and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. –Col. 1:12 NIV
  • …since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. –Col. 3:24 NIV
  • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you. –1 Pet. 1:3-4 NKJV
  • …to open their eyesand turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.—Acts 26:18 NIV
  • Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. –Mt. 6:19-21 NKJV
  • For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, ” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ…-Rom. 14-17b NKJV
  • Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.”  So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir. –Gal. 4:6-7 NKJV
Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!)—Eph. 1:3-4 MSG
  • … in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah. –Eph. 2:6 MSG
  • …as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. –2 Pet. 1:3-4 NKJV
  • …to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filledto the measure of all the fullness of God.—Eph. 3:19 NIV
  • To Timothy, my dear son: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord…For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. –2 Tim 1:2, 6 NIV

Prayer Points:

  • For God’s children to learn they are above all things, seated in heavenly places, having all spiritual blessings in Christ.
  • For God’s children to obtain the revelation that we have been translated to the kingdom of the Son of His love and Holy Spirit is our seal and deposit guaranteeing our eternal inheritance as God’s own possession.
  • For God’s children to learn that salvation is free but inheritance is rewarded to those who are obedient, faithful, and good stewards of what has been entrusted to them. (Heb. 5:7-8)
  • For God’s children to learn to seek eternal riches and to lay up treasures in heaven knowing He is able to forever keep what has been entrusted to Him.
  • For God’s children to understand that we have been accepted and adopted in the Beloved, but we must discover, develop, and deploy all that adoption has afforded us.
  • For God’s children to walk and live on the “other side” of the kingdom of darkness and dominion of Satan (father of lies) and learn to be planted and flourish in the Kingdom of God’s dear Son and made a Royal Priesthood representing Him as Kings and Priests.
  • Our greatest treasure shall be His greatest pleasure in us and our walk and work. (Jn. 15:8; Heb. 11:5-6)

1 Corinthians 4:14-15 Amplified

I do not write these things to shame you, but to warn and advise you as my beloved children.

For even if you were to have ten thousand teachers [to guide you] in Christ,

yet you would not have many fathers [who led you to Christ and assumed responsibility for you],

for I became your father in Christ Jesus through the good news [of salvation].

Main Point: That God’s people would take up the mantle of Elijah in participation and impartation to fatherless children and be “salt and light” to various organizations where unfathered children and youth need spiritual fathering; churches to become birthing and fathering centers.

  • Do not remove the ancient landmark, Nor enter the fields of the fatherless. –Pr. 23:10

  • Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us?Why do we deal treacherously with one another By profaning the covenant of the fathers? But did He not make them one, Having a remnant of the Spirit? And why one? He seeks godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, And let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth. –Mal. 2:10, 15 NIV

  • For God’s people to understand that the fatherless are the vulnerable prey of the adversary, but they are the ultimate prize of Father God.
  • That we are to be a defender of the fatherless and seek to bring them into our families and make them arrows in the hand of the LORD.
  • To realize that discipleship involves teaching the fullness of Jesus, but spiritual fathers involve a deeper work of belonging to Jesus and being adopted and led as sons of God. Thus, “we teach what we know, but we reproduce what we are.”
